awesome sport scale model will be available sometime in the future.
The SR-71 r/c model will feature traditional engines for simplicity. The original design has gone though a few changes, so the plans will
become available as soon as a working prototype takes to the air.
The photo below is of the new test bed. I am currently
experimenting with smaller scale models to make sure I have worked
out any bugs in the configuration of the new design.
UPDATE: 03.25.08- Maiden flight of the first test bed was a success! Construction has begun on the second prototype. The second prototype (see photo) will be larger the the first and will be powered by a pair of Thunder Tiger Pro .36 engines and will be five feet long. |
